A compact and architecturally distinctive residence in Coimbatore, The Garnet House makes a strong impression from the street — exposed brick, timber louvres, and steel-framed glazing form an elevation that is contemporary in composition but warm in material. Spontofocus documented the full property, from exterior to interiors to the rooftop swimming pool that serves as the project’s defining feature.
Inside, the brick and timber palette carries through consistently — terracotta flooring, detailed joinery, and a dedicated design studio that adds a purposeful layer to the brief. The rooftop pool, set within a stone-clad surround and framed by blue tensile shading, is intimate in scale but striking in execution.
Each level of the home was approached as a distinct visual chapter, with the photography composed to communicate the coherence of the design — from the considered elevation detail to the quiet functionality of the interiors.
