KMCH Hospital — Coimbatore

Commissioned by Ar. Siddharth Sankar of Sankar & Associates, Coimbatore, this project required architecture and interior photography that could communicate the full scope of a landmark institutional build. KMCH Hospital is one of the city’s largest medical campuses — a multi-wing development where scale, functionality, and considered design had to be balanced at every level.

Spontofocus documented the exteriors across all major facades, capturing the massing, material choices, and landscaped approaches that define the building’s presence. Internally, the focus shifted to the spaces where design intent is most visible — colour-coded corridors that double as wayfinding, a well-appointed auditorium with timber detailing and linear lighting, and entrance lobbies finished to an institutional standard.

Photography for an architect’s portfolio requires a disciplined eye — the work must represent design decisions accurately and credibly. Every frame was composed to serve that purpose, resulting in a body of images the architect can use across presentations, award submissions, and practice publications.
